IMG_5632 IMG_5633IMG_5634 New to OCDRT on 3/5/2016 from a northern Ohio shelter

Claire is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio.

Claire was born on 7/5/2010.  She is a bit overweight, but that is easy to fix.  She was surrendered to the shelter due to a move.   At the shelter, she was afraid but bonded to a couple of employees.   Our help was requested so that she could relax in a foster home situation while she awaits her forever home.  Claire introduced well to her foster dog siblings and even went nose-to-nose with the cat.  We will complete her vaccines and have her microchipped.  Claire will show us what she needs in the next couple of weeks while she is under evaluation.  Please check back for updates as she settles in.

If you are interested in adopting Claire, please email for an application.

UPDATE 3/12/2016:  Claire is doing very well in her foster home.  She fits in great with the 3 resident dogs and cat with no issues.  She does well meeting new people when introduced properly with time/space/treats.  She was not socialized in her previous home, so new humans make her very wary, but once you are in her circle, she is your best friend!  Claire needs a home that understands her and will offer her the time to trust them.  No children under 14 years of age, or a very actively social home will be considered for Claire.  She loves her crate and going for walks or playing a game of fetch.  Her weight is decreasing and in time she will have her figure back.  If you understand the nature of an ACD, you will adore Claire, as she is the epitome of the ACD breed.

UPDATE 5/26/2016:   Claire had a great meeting and left for her forever home.  Please check back for updates as she settles into her new home.
