New to OCDRT on 3/28/17, Miss Sophie is from a shelter in Mississippi.

She is being fostered in Columbus, Ohio.

Miss Sophie is just under a year of age and is 34 pounds.  She found herself in a rural Mississippi shelter back in November.  OCDRT found out about her in February and committed to taking her into our program.   Thankfully, transport was finally arranged and she is here!  Sophie was very well taken care of at the shelter and she is happy to meet new people.  She wants to play with the resident ACDs but they don’t want to yet.  She will meet the resident cat, who thinks he is a dog.  Miss Sophie will have her vetting completed during her 2-3 week evaluation.  She will learn crate training, house training, walking on a leash, foundation skills and general obedience.  Please check back for updates as we get to know Miss Sophie better.

UPDATE 4/4/2017:  Sophie is settling in nicely.  She wants to play with the resident dogs and cat; however, they are not willing to do so at this time.  She loves her crate and is doing well with going potty outside.  She likes to play with toys and engages well with her people.  She is active but self-entertains well with toys as well.  She tested negative at this time for heartworm and tick diseases.  She will be ready to go to her forever home after 4/15.

UPDATE 5/4/2017: Miss Sophie has a deposit from an approved applicant, to hold her for a meeting on 5/20. We will update after her meeting.

UPDATE 5/21/2017: Miss Sophie had a successful meeting and has left for her forever home. We will update as she settles in.

UPDATE 6/6/2017: Miss Sophie nka Mosaic is Officially Adopted!
