New to OCDRT  on 9/22/2016 from a NE Ohio shelter, Tito is being fostered in Massillon, Ohio.   Tito is an approximately 10-week-old puppy who is believed to be predominantly ACD.  He is a very social and happy puppy with typical ACD boundless energy at this time.   He meshed into the pack of two adult ACDs in his foster home very well. We will complete his vetting and evaluate him in the next few weeks to determine the type of home he needs.  Tito  will learn crate training, house training, foundation skills, basic obedience and traveling in a vehicle.  Prior ACD or herding breed experience is needed for his adoption.  Please check back for updates as we get to know Tito!

UPDATE 9/27/2016:   Tito continues to be a happy, playful boy.   He has started his vaccines and is scheduled to be neutered the latter part of October.  He mastered “sit” on the first try and sits every time for treats or his dinner.   He is keeping his crate dry at night and we are working on his house training during the day.   He is learning to walk very well on a leash.   After seeing his play behavior and personality, it will be imperative for his adopter to have prior herding breed experience, as he is very smart and needs someone who can channel his energy into proper behavior.   He also seems to enjoy the company of his foster siblings as much as he does human interaction, so a home with another dog would be a plus.    As a puppy this age has many months of this energy level, a home with a fenced yard will also be a large plus in our matching program, as would a home with someone who works from home or only works part-time.   He is too young and energetic to be crated all day.   We will update his progress as we get to know him further.

UPDATE 9/30/2016:  Tito has a deposit to hold him from an approved adopter.   He will remain with OCDRT throughout October until his vetting and neuter have been completed.

UPDATE 10/27/2016:  Tito had a successful meeting and has left for his forever home.  We will update as he settles in.

UPDATE 11/18/2016:  Tito is officially adopted!
