New to OCDRT on 8/21/2016 from northern Ohio, Whisper is being fostered in Creston, Ohio.

Whisper is a deaf 9-month-old female ACD who was owner-surrendered due to life circumstances.  She was born on 11/12/2015 and her owners took very good care of her physically and mentally.  Whisper lived with three children under 10 years of age and another dog.  She has started in training with a vibration collar for recalls along with basic obedience.  While with us, she will learn crate training, foundation skills, basic manners, walking on a leash and social manners.  Whisper will be spayed and microchipped on 8/31/2016.  Please check back for updates as we get to know Whisper better.   ACD experience and a fenced yard is mandatory for her adoption.

UPDATE 10/1/2016:  Whisper had a meeting with an approved adopter, which went very well.  She has a deposit to hold her until she can go home the weekend of 10/22.

UPDATE 10/21/2016:  Whisper, now known as “Evy” has left for her forever home.   We will update as she settles in.

UPDATE 9/6/2016:  Whisper is now fully vetted and ready to meet a very active adopter.  She is not only physically active, but she needs a lot of mental stimulation.  Teaching her to “settle” also helps this busy bee learn to be content when she has to wait to do something.  She loves her crate time and goes right to sleep.  She is learning better leash skills and will need an adopter who will continue to work with her in these areas.  Whisper came to us really obsessed with shadows.  She is learning there is more to life and is open to learning anything you wish to teach her.  She is in a foster home with two other ACDs and loves to play with them.
