Stevie who is now 2.5 years old and 40#, will be returning to rescue due to her adopters declining health which hinders her ability to care for Stevie. She has attempted every avenue to continue to keep Stevie, so returning her is in everyone's best interest. We are glad we are able to do this for them both. We will update after we have re-evaluated Stevie, after her return on 7/11/2015.

Stevie remembers being at Corene's. She introduced well to the current pack (she remembered Mason too) & is playing with Trance. She loves to play fetch! She crates well overnight & knows her basic commands. We are working on some resource guarding of her crate and favorite items, as she's been a single dog for the last 2 years. She's very willing to learn but a home with a understanding dog would be best until this behavior is extinguished. She needs an ACD savvy home that will give her rules & continue her socialization with other dogs. We want her next home to be her forever home. Stevie bonds tight with her people and is a sensitive ACD.

July 20, 2015

Stevie has a deposit to hold her for a meeting on 8/9.

August 9, 2015

Stevie has left for her forever home. We will update as she settles in.

August 22, 2015

Stevie is Officially Adopted!

Below is her bio when she entered rescue in April of 2013 from a shelter:

New to rescue on 4/10/2013 from a Central Ohio Shelter. Miss Stephson aka Stevie is being fostered in Creston, OH. Stevie is a 13 week old female who was found as a stray by the Dog Warden. She is showing us she needs lots of socialization with new dogs to learn how to interact respectfully. She lacks in human manners (probably why she went unclaimed) but is willing to respect and learn proper behavior. Stevie will begin crate training, house training, general manners, and dog social skills. She is scheduled to be vetted on 4/30 and will be available after her evaluation. Prior experience raising an ACD puppy will be necessary to adopt Stevie. Check back for updates as we get to know her better.

May 23, 2013

Stephson has done very well with her behavior modification. She is fully crate trained, doing well on house training and manners. She needs to work on her leash skills but is willing to learn & walks nicely on a no-pull harness. She is improving with meeting new dogs & minding her manners around people. Stevie will require an ACD savvy adopter in her forever home to continue with the foundation we have started.

June 28, 2013

Stevie will be a smaller female, currently at just over 6 months of age she is 23#.

July 12, 2013

We have a deposit to hold Stevie for a meeting the weekend of the 20th.

August 18, 2013

Stevie has left for her new home.

September 18, 2013

We were receiving news from Stevie's adopter that she is adjusting and working through some issues, which we are providing guidance with. Last update was things are going well and her adopter is happy for the challenge, so we are moving Stevie to Adopted!
