Meet Bana

Basic Information

New to OCDRT on 4/7/2015, Bana was born in early November, around 5 months old, & petite at 20#. Bana was owner surrendered due to not being compatible with the owner's Senior Border Collie. She has a great foundation and nearly all her vetting was completed. We will complete her vaccine's and micro-chip. She is crate trained, started well in house training, good on a leash, knows her basic obedience, and loves to play fetch. Bana is defensive around the pack, but is learning they mean her no harm so as she lets her guard down, we will see her true personality.

ACD puppy experience will be required to adopt Bana. Please check back as we get to know her over the next 2 – 3 weeks.

Updates

April 21, 2015

Bana has been in rescue for 2 weeks and we are seeing a lot of improvements! She is now playing with all the pack members, as long as it's one on one. Games of tag still concern her when she is the chasee, but she is much better. She is learning not to resource guard her crate when she is in or out of it. She fears being over corrected by another dog, but the pack is helping her to understand they correct, but it ends there. She is looking to me for direction instead of just reacting in defense. When she 'gets it' she is very happy and proud of herself and she relaxes. We are very pleased with her progress and she is ready for an ACD savvy puppy home after 4/25.
